With the Holiday Season quickly approaching, the Stevensville Main Street Association would like to thank all of the wonderful volunteers that make our "Main Street Program" a successful one!  Your time, talent, energy and enthusiasm are the heart beat of this organization and we are truly thankful for you the Volunteer! 
 
As we enter December we invite the community and surrounding area to join us for a "Montana Country Christmas" in Stevensville. 
  • On December 2nd and 3rd the Holiday Season will kick off in downtown Stevensville.
    • On First Friday, December 2nd the Christmas Gift Fair will begin.
      There will be an Arts and Craft show in the McGovern Building from 1:00 PM to 9 PM on Friday and Saturday the 3rd from 10 AM to 4 PM.
    • First Friday activities will start at 6 PM and at 6:30 PM the Parade of Lights will proceed to the center of town for a Live Nativity scene.
    • The Community Choir will sing in the Historic St. Mary's Mission chapel at 8 PM.
    • There will be two wagons with teams of beautiful draft horses giving rides from 7:30 PM to 9 PM on Main Street.
    • Warm fires to keep the cold out, holiday refreshments, shopping perfect for that evening stroll and tons of gifts and ideas.
    • There will be free gift wrapping, Santa will be in town and the Festival of Trees will be at the St. Mary's Family Center and the theme this year is "Christmas in the Park".
    • Other wonderful activities ranging from book signings by the Discovery Writers "First Roots: The Story of Stevensville, Montana's Oldest Community" at the Chantilly Theatre 7 PM, to the S.A.S.S. Art Show, "Show Your Finest" at the Stevensville Hotel.
    • Wonderful toe tapping music at various locations makes this first weekend in December a special one in Stevensville! 
 
On another note Stevensville, Montana has been selected as one of three locations across Montana to host the State Main Street Program Application Workshop required for communities interested in becoming a pilot community in the Montana Main Street program. Montana Main Street is moving forward in the community selection
process!!  A workshop will be held in Stevensville on December 16, 2005.

Interested communities should send one or more representatives to this workshop. Workshops will cover the Main Street Four-Point Approach, eligibility, what is expected of applicants and step-by-step explanation of  the application.
